You know you love me...

Spotted: L hitting up Target 15 minutes before it closed to buy a cheesy CW show on DVD. Seriously, it's sad how giddy he is right now.

XOXO

Beats walking

My poor car went to Allen on Thursday, Dallas on Friday, Mansfield on Saturday, and Fort Worth on Sunday! Thank goodness for cheap(er) gas.

Election news!

Not really. But I have discovered the advantage to the election going on:

West Wing reruns on Bravo!

I say "the advantage" because I haven't discovered another one so far. We'll see.

State Fair Day

The butter sculpture this year was totally demo.

Butter Sculpture

I shouldn't even be blogging about it.

Other than that, what can I say? The food was good. I walked through the auto show three times. Jessica wasn't awful (Laura says she was awesome but I think she's biased), and Tony was there watching her show...sometimes getting more attention than her performance (I think he felt bad about that but I could be reading too much into stuff). Personally I think she spent a little too much time setting up her songs, but some people are into that. And by "some people" of course I mean my wife.

Why's it gotta be a cracker?

Think the gingerbread house is a dead art?

We Made This

These girls do. It's why they built this house out of graham crackers.

Who are the ad wizards that came up with that?

Ladies & Gentlemen, I give you the plumcot:

Plumcot

I've never had one. And while I'm sure it's tasty, I think its name is hurting its popularity. I must confess though, I don't have any better ideas. It's a plum/apricot hybrid. What would you call it?

Not the gumdrop buttons!

Think the gingerbread house is a dead art?

The proud contractors

Here are four people that would disagree.

Maybe not very enthusiastically, but they would disagree.

Come on over

So...Jessica Simpson is performing at the State Fair on October 17th. Guess which day my wife has insisted that we go?

I hope the Cowboys don't lose that week or lots of people will be irrationally blaming her. That could also make it more entertaining.

Maybe we'll see Tony too!

Subtle Differences

So here's a fun comparison. These two images are remarkably similar, but there are differences. These differences are perhaps a commentary on my marriage? Perhaps not.

Here's something I'm excited about:
Hot Chip ticket

and here's something my spouse is excited about:
NKOTB ticket

BTW, what's up with no recording at NKOTB? Perhaps they're afraid people will find out they're terrible live performers? I could be wrong, but I'm probably not.

Flower (wheel) power

I see this car almost every day. I like the unusual choice of wheel.

Beetle with flower wheels

Fittingly, this is driven by a local florist!

Bromance?

I'm looking for someone, on a temporary basis, to hang out with and watch movies at midnight and be generally awesome.

Hugging is optional, but he's gotta be gay for THIS GUY!

Ben Folds

Lemme know if you have any leads.

-_- Really, Wal-Mart?

So my local Wal-Mart in North Texas doesn't have Dwell Magazine but it does have Snowboarder Magazine?

snowboarder

Typical.

UPDATE: I'm now subscribed to Snowboarder!

An interesting pattern

Today: I'm depressed by how stupid I am.

Tomorrow: I'm no psychic, but I'm thinking I'll be depressed by how stupid I am.

Pretty dang sweet. I think it would be cool to see them indoors. This is one concert I wouldn't mind coming away from deaf because the music was just so loud. I think there'd be more of a connection if you could feel the music to that extent.

I'm 30!

But that's not what this is about. I was just listening to Chris's song "we weren't even friends" and was curious about who provided the background vocals. Chris? You reading? Probably not.
